Area Sales Representative

  • Salary: £45,000 per annum + £1,000 Target Achievement Bonus

  • Commission: 3% on Year-on-Year Growth

  • OTE: £63,500

The Northern England Sales Representative plays a vital role in driving the continued success of the business. As the face of Spearhead in the region, you will be instrumental in strengthening existing relationships while identifying and developing new opportunities. This role is key to ensuring our customers are well supported, our product range is fully represented, and that we continue to grow in a competitive market.

About the Role

We are looking for a driven and commercially focused Area Sales Representative to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated sales professional who thrives on developing new business, building strong customer relationships, and driving regional growth.

Reporting directly to the Sales Director, you will take ownership of your territory, identifying opportunities, expanding existing accounts, and delivering outstanding customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales & Business Development
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed targets
  • Identify and win new business across the region
  • Drive growth across all product categories
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs
  • Account Management
  • Build and maintain long-term customer relationships
  • Conduct regular site visits, account reviews, and check-ins
  • Identify opportunities to expand within existing accounts
  • Product Demonstration & Support
  • Deliver engaging product demonstrations at customer sites
  • Provide technical support and tailored solutions
  • Gather customer feedback to support product and marketing improvements
  • Collaboration
  • Work closely with internal teams including Marketing and Customer Support
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasts, and reporting
  • Support quotations, follow-ups, and pipeline management

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in sales or business development (essential)

  • Strong track record of achieving or exceeding targets

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills

  • Ability to build rapport and manage long-term relationships

  • Commercial awareness with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities

  • Self-motivated and capable of managing a regional territory independently

  • Experience with CRM systems and sales reporting tools

  • B2B sales experience (preferred)

  • Consistently achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual targets

  • Growing the regional customer base

  • Increasing product adoption within existing accounts

  • Delivering high-quality customer interactions and demonstrations

  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date sales pipeline data

Education

  • A-levels or equivalent (required)

  • Degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field (desirable)
