As a Delivery Driver, you will play a crucial role in making this happen.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver products to customer premises safely, accurately, and efficiently, consistently meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
Drive with due care and attention to ensure all orders arrive undamaged and are unloaded in line with health and safety standards.
Manage both deliveries and collections while maintaining a professional and courteous manner at all times.
Plan and follow optimal van routes to maximise efficiency, reduce travel time and fuel usage, and meet delivery deadlines.
Communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and management to provide timely updates and resolve delivery-related issues.
Use company IT systems and mobile devices to carry out vehicle checks, record deliveries (including photographic evidence), and manage daily schedules.
Assist warehouse operations when required, including stock control and order preparation.
Accurately complete all required administrative tasks, keeping records and documentation up to date.
Represent the company positively, demonstrating respect, good manners, and professionalism in every interaction.
Take ownership of personal learning and development, actively seeking opportunities to improve skills and contribute to team success.
Required Experience & Certifications
Valid Driving License (Essential)
Class 2 License (Preferred, but not essential)
Forklift License (Preferred)
Manual Handling Certification (Preferred)
What We're Looking For
Proven experience in a delivery, driving, or logistics role.
Strong awareness of road safety and health and safety procedures.
Ability to plan and follow efficient delivery routes.
Confident communicator with excellent customer service skills.
Comfortable using mobile devices, apps, and basic IT systems.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Physically capable of handling and moving goods safely.
High attention to detail and accuracy in both driving and administrative work.
Positive, professional attitude and a willingness to support colleagues across the business.
