Position: Business Development Executive

Full Time - 8 hour shift (Monday – Friday)

About the Role
As a Business Development Executive, you will be closely working with a field sales representative responsible for identifying new business opportunities, generating leads, and building strong relationships with potential clients. You’ll proactively explore avenues for revenue growth through strategic outreach, market research, and networking, working closely with our sales and marketing teams to convert prospects into long-term customers.

What You’ll Do
Manage a diary to ensure a set number of appointments are booked each week.
Proactively follow up on quotes and update CRM systems to keep accurate forecasts and status reports.
Analyse customer spend gaps and create strategies to engage clients in conversations around these product areas.
Meet and exceed KPI targets by consistently driving sales conversations and closing opportunities.
Research and analyse market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to uncover business opportunities.
Build, nurture, and maintain long-term client relationships to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Collaborate with sales and marketing colleagues to develop effective lead generation and outreach strategies.
What We’re Looking For
Strong ability to identify sales opportunities and close deals.
Good ability to talk to new and existing customers on the telephone.
Excellent communication skills — both verbal and written.
Proven negotiation skills with the ability to secure terms that benefit both clients and the business.
Resilience and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
A confident, proactive approach to following up leads and driving deals through to completion.
Computer literacy and comfort working with CRM systems and data insights.
Previous experience in customer service, sales, or a phone-based role would be an advantage.
